Colombo Port Services (Pvt) Ltd — CICT Terminal

Oct 2022 — Apr 2023

Maintained a fleet of 110 inter-terminal prime movers at South Asia’s most efficient deep-water terminal, supporting a facility handling more than 3 million TEUs annually.
Designed and ran a preventive-maintenance programme: scheduled inspections, tracked defect patterns, and coordinated repairs to reduce unplanned breakdowns.
Restructured engineering stores by auditing stock and mapping spare-part demand, reducing maintenance delays through better inventory management.
Built a mobile maintenance-management app to digitise job cards, replace manual logbooks, and provide real-time fleet visibility.

Unilever Sri Lanka (Pvt) Ltd

Oct 2020 — Jun 2021

Managed the relocation of Vim powder and Vim soap manufacturing lines, producing layout plans, coordinating contractors, and maintaining SHE compliance.
Designed and built a dust-extraction system end-to-end, from airflow calculations and component specification through fabrication and installation.
Modelled and fabricated hoppers for an auto-dosing system and perfume-filling tank, and oversaw Loss-in-Weight system installation.
Built a mobile work-order app to replace paper-based maintenance reporting, reducing administration time and improving fault traceability.
